Ina J. Weis

Ina J. Weis, 91 of Elmore, OH died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. She was born March 12, 1921 in Toledo, OH to the late Frank and Carrie (Perkins) Hellstern. She was a 1939 graduate of DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, OH and the University of Toledo, and received her Masters of Library Science from Western Reserve. On October 8, 1960 she married Edgar Weis and he survives. Ina retired in May of 1983 following 40 years of service as the Professor of Library Administration for the University of Toledo. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ where she was involved with various church organizations and numerous associations with the library profession. She was a Past Matron for the Order of Eastern Star, Elmore Chapter, and Wally Byam Caravan Club Inc., which was an Airstream group who loved to travel. Survivors include her husband of 52 years Edgar of Elmore, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore. Interment will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ.
