Hilda M. Siglar

Hilda Marie Siglar, 88, formerly of Elmore, OH, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born November 29, 1921 in Woodville, OH to the late Louis and Martha (Kontak) Cook. She was a Graduate of Woodville High School. Hilda was a homemaker but many would remember her as Managing the Blue Moon Motel and cooking in the restaurant, delivering the Toledo Blade to Elmore residents for many years, before retiring as a cook for Gladieux Enterprises. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore where she was a member of the Ladies Aide, Altar Guild, taught Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed bowling and participating in the local card club, both in Elmore. Survivors include her children: Sharon Stimac of Berkey, OH; Edward (Amelia) Strohscher of Genoa, OH; and Tamara (William) Morse of Toledo, OH; grandchildren: John Shepler, Jr., Jarrod Worthington, Jeremy Shepler, and Stacey Morse; 6 great- grandchildren, and 3 great- great grandchildren; brothers: Edgar (Bernice) Cook of Elmore, Kermit (Janet) Cook of Woodville, OH, Earl Cook of Florida, and Randall (Rita Lemke) Cook of Gibsonburg, OH. She was also preceded in death by daughters Delores Shepler and Sandra Strohscher; son Steve Siglar; grandchildren: Bryan Shepler and Cassandra Morse. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-9pm with the family present 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. SR. 51, Elmore. Funeral Services will be officiated by Rev. Stephen Lutz on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore. Burial will be in Clay Twp. Cemetery.
