Helen Spiegel

Helen Spiegel, 85 of Port Clinton, died Thursday August 27, 2009 at the Chalet at the Vineyard on Catawba. She was born September 28, 1923 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Martin and Anna (Tomacek) Toman. Helen was retired from General Motors in Ypsilanti and was an avid gardner. Surviving are her daughter Lynne Rice of Gahanna; son Larry Wilber of Milan, MI; granddaughters Andrea Keck and Shannon Chambers, both of Port Clinton; and great grandsons Kodey Keck and Jeffrey Chambers both of Port Clinton and her best friend, Delta Cooley of Marblehead. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, brother Martin Toman and a grandson Mark Dykes. There will be no visitation at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton. Private burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice.
