Helen May Miller of Port Clinton, Ohio completed her life journey Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the Ebeid Hospice Residence at Flower Hospital, Toledo, Ohio. Helen celebrated her Eighty eighth birthday Sunday, October 18th, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to George and Rosa Evans. She graduated from Morrison C. Waite High school and Davis Business college. She was employed at Fluonoy and Gibbs for 19 years and the Port Clinton School system for 4 years. Helen married the love of her life, Ralph Miller and celebrated 40 years together until his death in 2000. They resided in Port Clinton throughout their marriage. Helen remained in their home after Ralph's passing to be among her many close friends and neighbors, who she fondly referred to as her second family. Helen has been a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Parish. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Warnke and brother, Kenneth Evans. Helen is survived by sisters, Doris Bolbach and Marge Rohrbacher, many loving nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews as well as great grand nieces and nephews. Helen's family would like to especially thank her neighbors and special friends who were always there for her in her time of need. Family and friends may visit on Friday, October 23, from 2-8 pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio where members of the Rosary Altar Society will recite the rosary at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton on Saturday, October 24, at 10:00 am with prayers beginning at the funeral home at 9:30 am. Reverend John C. Missler will officiate. Interment will follow in Lakeview cemetery. Helen's family would like to thank the staffs at Magruder Hospital and Ebeid Hospice Center for their care and compassion shown to Helen and family. Memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
