Helen M. Jadwisiak

Helen M. Jadwisiak, 93, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at her residence. She was born on September 12, 1922 in New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Cornelius and Ellen (Hyland) O'Neill. She married Casimir "Ki" Jadwisiak on September 6, 1952 and he survives. Helen attended the Mercy School of Nursing in Toledo, Ohio where she received her Nursing degree. She worked as a Registered Nurse at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan; at Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde; at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, was a school nurse for Port Clinton Board of Education and retired from Riverview Nursing Home in Oak Harbor. Helen was a great conversationalist and known for her kindness and charity towards everyone. She was a wise woman who was quick to laugh and very proud of her Irish heritage. She was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church in Marblehead where she practiced her strong faith with a special devotion to Mary, The Blessed Mother. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Ki; daughters, Joan Washburn, Marblehead, Ohio, Ann Faller, Vancouver, Washington, Mary Jadwisiak, Battle Ground, Washington; sons, Joseph Jadwisiak, Port Clinton, Stephen (Maria) Jadwisiak, Perrysburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Erick (Kiely) Jadwisiak, Brian S. Faller, Michael L. (Araceli) Faller, Christopher Jadwisiak, Caitlin Jadwisiak; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, where the Parastas service will be held at 7pm. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, 506 E. Main Street, Marblehead from 10am until the Panachida Service 10:50am. The Office of Christian Burial will follow at 11am with Reverend Robert Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Marblehead. Memorial contributions may be made for masses to be said in Helen's memory.
