Helen J. Ihnat, 89, of Marblehead, OH died December 20, 2006 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton. She was born December 16, 1917 in Port Clinton, a daughter of the late Peter & Katherine (Marek) Sztuk. She married George Inhat and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Inhat was retired from the General Motors Corporation where she worked for 24 years. She was a member of St Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Marblehead. Mrs. Ihnat is survived by her son, Charles (Carol) Ihnat, Port Clinton; daughter, Georga (Ralph) Dexter, North Kingstown, RI. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond, Henry, and Edward Sztuk; sisters, Mary Thomas, Janet Trucano and Kay Gutaikis. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Friday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, where a Panachida service will be held Friday evening at 7 P.M. Divine Liturgy with the Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Basil Hutsko at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 23, 2006 at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Marblehead where additional visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9-10 A.M.. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Marblehead. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church or Hospice of Memorial Hospital, Clyde, OH.
