Helen E. Doenges

Helen E. Doenges, 94, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Friday, November 12, 2010 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born in New Bremen, Ohio on December 9, 1915, the daughter of Rev. Otto C. & Ida (Heitmann) Doenges. Helen was an avid reader and enjoyed keeping up with current events. She was a long time member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor, where her father served as Pastor for many years. Helen loved and greatly enjoyed spending time with her extended family, Joan & Bob Randall, Jill & Steve Weirich, and their children Alex and Cole, all of Oak Harbor, Jennifer & Don Kreager, and their daughter Jaime, of Genoa, and Becky Shemenski, of Oak Harbor. A service celebrating Helen's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 20 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, with the Rev. David A. Voll officiating. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service, and interment will be in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
