Helen Dziak, 95, formerly of Marblehead died Sunday April 16, 2006 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. She was born July 25, 1910 in Marblehead, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Pohlod) Pepa-Capko, Sr.. Mrs. Dziak was retired from the Biro Manufacturing Company and was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, a member of the Ladies Aid Society, a life member of the VFW Post 7572 Auxiliary of Marblehead and the Greek Catholic Union Lodge 504 of Marblehead. Surviving are her daughter Mary Ann (Dan) Monak of Marblehead; sons John (Kay) and Michael J. (Rosemary) Dziak, both of Marblehead; Eleven Grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Mike J. Dziak in 1969; grandchildren Bradley and Christine; her parents; brothers Michael “Jeff” and Joseph Capko and John “Red” Pepa, Sr.; Sisters Anna Pepon, Mary Gresh and Lena Harnad and Pearl Sauvey. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday at the Neidecker, LeVeck and Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Marblehead with Panahida services at 7 pm Tuesday. Mrs. Dziak’s body will be taken to church to lie in state from 9 am Wednesday until the office of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Marblehead. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Heartbeat of Ottawa County.
