Helen A. Minoff (nee Drickhammer), died peacefully in her sleep on July 12, 2013 at Lutheran Haven Nursing Home, Oveido, Florida. Helen was born June 7, 1911 in Danbury Twp, Ohio, daughter to the late Carolina (Lattendorf) and Henry Drickhammer. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, siblings Emma Wohlers, Eva Schultz, Mary Hallier, George and Roy; grandson Brian Branum; nephews Ron Drickhammer and John Drickhammer. Helen is survived by her children JoAnn Monak, Jane (Richard) Branum and James (Judy) Minoff; grandchildren Cynthia (Rick) Gaynon, Cathy (Scott) Lowen, Debra (zilma) Bond, Todd Branum, Jill (Neil) Markey, Jodi (Tom) Smith, Jennifer Minoff and Janis Minoff, 13 great-grandchildren; nephews James Drickhammer, Barton (Rosemary) Drickhammer; great-nephews Larry (Charlotte) Schultz, Eric (Diane) Schultz, great-niece Jean (Bill) Coddington. The family lived in Gypsum, Ohio. Helen worked in the sample dept at US Gypsum company until retirement. She and Joe moved to Port Clinton to enjoy "city" living and closer to Peace Lutheran Church where Helen taught Sunday School and Catechism and enjoyed the friendship of people. Helen lived as a faithful servant in the church and community. She was on the Gypsum School Board, an honorary mayor of Gypsum and 4-H leader. In 1987 Helen moved to a cottage at Lutheran Haven in Oviedo, Florida where she continued to serve, making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for the thrift shop, sewing dresses for Head Start, and an avid pinochle player. She made many new friends. Helen moved to assisted living in 2008 and 2012 to the nursing home. The family would like to thank Lutheran Haven for their loving care and friendships made. Private burial will be July 19 at ST. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Danbury Twp. With a memorial service at a later date.
