Hazel L. Salyers, 93, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at her daughter's residence. She was born on January 27, 1923 in Man, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Oliver and Isabel (Stanley) McClellan. She married Noah K. Salyers on May 26, 1940 and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1998. Hazel worked at the former Philco Manufacturing Plant in Sandusky soldering electrical radios together. She also helped out at the Danbury Fruit Warehouse canning peaches. She was the Pastor of Brush Arbor Church in Gypsum and also a member of The Church of God and Faith Family Pentecostal Church of God in Port Clinton. Hazel loved nature, and therefore could be seen outside tending to her garden, and feeding the squirrels and birds. She also enjoyed canning, sewing, crocheting, singing to residents in the nursing home, and being with her family. She was a very loving and giving mother who will be missed dearly by her family and many friends. Survivors include her daughter, Kris (Richard) Clow; sons, Kennis (Dorothy) Salyers, Jerry (Eileen) Salyers, Danny Salyers, Marvin Salyers; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Irene Ferguson; brothers, William Runyon, James McClellan; an infant sister; and two infant great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 10am until Funeral Services at 12pm, with Pastor Earl Taylor officiating.
