Harriet E Krynock

Harriet E. Krynock, 88, of Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton. She was born on January 22, 1921, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Embra and Louise (Krueger) Hetrick. She married Joseph Krynock on August 18, 1940 and he preceded her in death on March 7, 1991. Harriet was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Marblehead, where she was very active and served as past secretary and treasurer. She was also a former member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Association. For many years she rang the bells for the Salvation Army during the holiday season. Her hobbies included playing pinochle, as she was a member of several card clubs; and she was an avid sports fan of all the Danbury Laker teams. Harriet loved life and lived it to the fullest. Survivors include her daughters: Bonnie (Bruce) Shank, of Fremont, OH; Marsha (James P. "J.K." Kekelik) Helin, of Lakeside, OH; son: Kent (Lori) Krynock, of Fremont, OH; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and sister: Marie McNeil, of Atlanta, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Nedra Cassidy on December 29, 1986; son: Joel Keith Krynock on March 10, 2008; granddaughter: Wendy Robel on August 10, 2003; sister: Ruth Baumgartner and brothers: Orlo and Boyd Hetrick. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead on Saturday, February 28 from 12-2PM where funeral services will be held at 2 PM with Reverend Christina L. Young officiating. Burial will follow in Sackett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Marblehead, or to the Lakeside or Marblehead EMS.
