Harold G. Johannsen

Harold G. Johannsen, 86, of Port Clinton, died Friday December 7, 2007 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. He was born March 31, 1921 in Port Clinton, a son of the late John & Margaret (Steffens) Johannsen. Harold was a farmer all his life and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Farmers Union, and was an avid golfer and bowler. Surviving is his daughter, Judy (Michael) Pacione of Arizona; sons, Robert (Sheila) Johannsen of Catawba Island, Gary (Christine) Johannsen, and Rick (Judy) Johannsen, both of Port Clinton; grandchildren, Todd Johannsen, Gretchen Beck, Heidi Slobodzian, Amy Johannsen, Julie Williamson, Heather Mann, Lindsay Meek, Ashley Johannsen, and Derick Johannsen; great grandchildren, Regan and Peyton Beck, Paul and Joey Slobodzian, and Morgan Meek. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Bona Jean in 1995; a son Denny in 1950; his parents; brothers, Ervin Johannsen and Richard Johannsen; sister, Phyllis, and a granddaughter, Laurie Ann Mann. The family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Monday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday. The Rev. James Lehman will officiate, and interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Ottawa County, Stein Hospice or the Scleroderma Foundation.
