Harland W. Branum

Harland W. Branum, 90, passed away January 9, 2022 at The Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born October 3, 1931 to Carl and Kathryn (Kennedy) Branum in Port Clinton, Ohio. He was married to Audrey Branum who preceded him in death on December 4, 2007. Harland attended Port Clinton High School and was a member of the Port Clinton High School Football Team. After High School he joined the United States Air Force retiring 20 years later. He had tours in Alaska, Maine, Korean War and two tours in the Vietnam War. After the Air Force he held jobs as a boiler operator, electrician and retired from Port Clinton School Systems in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of the Port Clinton Elks. Harland is survived by his children: Michael Branum, Tim Branum, Donald Branum, Cheryl Branum and Kelley Branum. He also had five step-children, grandchildren: Anthony Branum, Christopher Fitzgerald II and Lexi Perkins. Also surviving are brothers: Ralph Branum and Ken Branum and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother Carl and Charlotte Branum, mother and step-father Kathryn and Ken Pool, brother Tom Branum and sister Barbara Sorg. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Ave. Sandusky, OH 44870.
