Harland J. Netcher, 88, of Elmore, OH died Sunday, January 1, 2006 at Otterbein Portage Valley. He was born March 12, 1917 in Elmore the son of the late Reuben and Bertha (Reynolds) Netcher. He married Lois Stein on November 25, 1939 and she survives. Mr. Netcher was a lifelong farmer and he also repaired and sold used farm machinery to the Amish and other area farmers. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul-Trinity United Methodist Church, Elmore and a member of Lin-Mor Farm Bureau Council. He and his wife enjoyed wintering in Florida, traveling, playing cards, and visiting family, friends and shut ins. Surviving are his wife: Lois; sons: James (Linda) Netcher of Bellevue, Donald (Patty) Netcher of Elmore; daughters: Ruth (Dennis) Despones of Elmore, Marilyn (Bill) Pierce of Norwalk; grandchildren: Chad (Erin) Despones, Melissa Smittle, Cheryl (Joe) Piktel, Mary (Jason) Popovic, Julie (Sam) Pietrangelo, Carrie Netcher; great-grandchild: Meghan Despones, four nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother and wife: Franklin and Alma Netcher and brother-in-law Paul Stein. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at St. Paul-Trinity United Methodist Church, Elmore, OH. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-8 PM at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore, OH. Additional visitation will be held Wednesday morning at the church from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Union Cenetery, Elmore, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church, Elmore, OH. Funeral Home: Crosser Funeral Home - Elmore Chapel 451 E.
