Greg J. Haar, Sr.

Greg J. "Gerg" Haar, Sr., 40, of Oak Harbor died unexpectedly Thursday, December 23, 2010 at University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born August 12, 1970 in Oregon, OH to Lyle H. and Margaret E. "Dolly" (Williams) Haar, and was a 1988 graduate of Woodmore High School. On August 12, 1995 he married the former Nichole Hamilton. Greg was a mechanic for Jeffers Crane Service, Oregon and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore, OH. Greg was a devoted and proud father who enjoyed watching his children participate in school activities. Greg, himself, was very active in the Oak Harbor Amateur Wrestling Club, various events at the Ottawa County Fair, and being a "Rocket Fan". He also enjoyed his time farming with Kevin Fox. Survivors include his wife Nichole of Oak Harbor; sons: Gregory J. Haar, Jr., Tate J. Haar, Samuel O. Hamilton, Matthew A. Hamilton all at home; parents Lyle and Dolly Haar of Gibsonburg, OH, brothers: Mike (Lena) Haar of Gibsonburg and Jeff (Kim) Haar of Huntington Beach, CA; mother- in- law Linda Hamilton of Oak Harbor; brother- in- law Roger (Tiffany) Hamilton of Olive Beach, Miss; nephews: Jason, Josh, Aaron, Garrett and Cooper Haar; nieces: Cassidy Haar, Sydney and Sophia Hamilton. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-9pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11am at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating. Burial will be in Salem Twp. Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial Contributions may be given to the family for a fund to be created for the children.
