Grayson F. Koepke, 93, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He was born near Oak Harbor on March 31, 1928, a son of the late Fred A. & Ada L. (Meyer) Koepke. A lifelong farmer, Grayson’s greatest loves were his family and the now fourth generation GrayDot Farms, an Ohio Century Farm. He also was in the crop insurance business since he began helping his father at age 15. Koepke Insurance Agency is now in its third generation of ownership, and has a long relationship with Farmer’s Mutual Hail, of which Grayson was very proud. An active member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor, he was a former member of the church council, and also taught Sunday School. Grayson was also a member of the Ottawa County Farm Bureau and a former member of the Elks, Moose, and Eagles. On September 5, 1959, he married the former Dorothy M. Seitz. Grayson and Dorothy greatly enjoyed traveling and especially camping in their motor home. They also enjoyed playing cards with their circle of close friends. Dorothy passed away on June 6, 2014 after nearly 55 years of marriage. Surviving are their children, Galen (Katja) Koepke, Oak Harbor, Randy (Deb) Koepke, Ft. Wayne, IN, Keith (Ronda) Koepke, Allentown, PA, Kathy (Barry) Cochran, Oak Harbor, Doug (Faye) Sorensen, Wapakoneta, OH, Chad Sorensen, Fremont, OH, and Jan Harder, Oak Harbor; brother, George Koepke, Woodville, TX; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Grant Koepke. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM Thursday at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 301 N. Locust St., Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December, 10, 2021 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 165 Toussaint St., Oak Harbor. Rev. John W. Bock will officiate, and interment will follow at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Following the services, a luncheon will be held in the Social Room of the church.
