Gracie Cook

Gracie Cook, 78, of Port Clinton, died Tuesday, July 06, 2010 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, OH. She was born April 23, 1932 in Council, VA the daughter of Robert and Rachel (Johnson) Stevens. She married Frank H. Cook on Feb. 11, 1948 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2005. Gracie worked as a sales clerk for Walmart retiring in 2006. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving are her sons: Donald (Jeanette) Cook of Vallonia, IN, Lance (Yvonne) Cook of Lebanon, VA, Larry Cook of Marblehead, OH, Dennis Cook of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Joshua (Merri), Jacob (Hillary), Justin (Tracy), Sara; great-grandchidlren: Ruiz, Josephine, Taylor; brothers: Carl Stevens of Cedar Bluff, VA, Leroy Stevens of Lebanon, VA, Leemore Stevens of Council, VA, Jerry Stevens of Council, VA; sisters: Ruth Howard of Grundy, VA, Rassie Honaker of Chester, VA, Dollie Stone of Chester, VA, Julie Johnson of Council, VA; brother-in-laws: Walter (Wilma) Cook of LaCarne, Howard Cook of Port Clinton, Herman (Betty) Cook of Oak Harbor; sister-in-laws: Elsie Cook of Coeburn, VA, Lydia Cook of Port Clinton, Delores Cook of Port Clinton, OH, and special friends Mary and Earl Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, brother: Clovis Stevens, Paul Stevens and sisters: Roxy Harris and Dorothy Stevens. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton where visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to Church of God of Prophecy.
