Grace E. Johnson

Grace Elizabeth Johnson, 82, of Port Clinton, OH, died Friday, November 18, 2005 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton. She was born on May 31, 1923 in Gypsum, OH, the daughter of the late Clarence & Thelma (Foraker) Van Hoose. On March 8, 1947, she married Louis J. Johnson, and he survives. She was a homemaker, and also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post #2480, Port Clinton and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles Lodge Aerie #2295, Port Clinton. Survivors include her husband, Louis; sons: Jack (Mary) Johnson, of Port Clinton; Lewis (June) Johnson, of Perrysburg, OH; daughters: Kathy Heimert (Bill Boyd), of Largo, FL; Georgiann (Gary) Mathhews, of Port Clinton; Lori Jean (Donald “Richie”) Bennett, of Port Clinton; Thirteen Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren; brothers: Curtis (Grace) Van Hoose, of Port Clinton and Eugene (Ruth) Van Hoose, of Logan, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son: Walter Frederick Johnson; brothers: Paul Van Hoose; Richard Van Hoose; Warren Van Hoose; Jim Van Hoose; an infant brother: William Van Hoose; and an infant sister: Ruby Van Hoose. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Deron Fourman officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
