Glenn R. Whipple

Glenn R. Whipple, 80 of Oak Harbor, OH died Monday, January 25, 2021 at Promedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont, OH. He was born November 1, 1940 in Elmore, OH to the late Lloyd and Melinda (Arendt) Whipple. On September 17, 1966 he married the former Ruth A. Blatt, and she survives. He served his Country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Glenn retired from the former Brush Wellman (now Materion) Company in Elmore, OH where he worked in the maintenance department. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Glenn enjoyed being outside fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife of 54 years Ruth of Oak Harbor; daughters: Dawn (Chris) McCoy of Andover, MN and Andrea Whipple of Phoenix, AZ; grandson Louden; and brother Jack (Nancy) Whipple of Fremont, OH. He was also preceded in death by his brother Tom Whipple and sister Kay Whiting. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8pm at the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date in Limestone Cemetery.
