Gladys M. Driftmyer

Gladys M. Driftmyer, 95 of Elmore, OH died Friday, December 20, 2013 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. She was born November 27, 1918 in Elmore to the late William and Elizabeth (Bach) Haar. On August 16, 1941 she married Martin E. Driftmyer who preceded her in death May 26, 1997. Gladys was a factory worker for Every- Ready Battery in Fremont, OH, but retired from the former Brush- Wellman Company, Elmore. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, quilting and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her daughter Genise (Ron) Dangler of Elmore; grandchildren: Nick (Holly) Dangler, and Janelle (Aaron) Ayers. She was also preceded in death by brothers Leonard and Nolan Haar; and sisters Bernice Ory and Elaine Reinbolt. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore- Genoa Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Monday, December 23, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore with Pastor Denise Russell officiating. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stein Hospice, or a charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to thank the staff of Riverview Health Care Station 2 and Stein Hospice for all their care and compassion during Gladys's time of transition.
