Gilbert R. Damschroder

Gilbert R. Damschroder, 89, of Graytown, OH, died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon, OH. He was born on July 25, 1917, a son of John R. & Antonie (Wangrin) Damschroder. Mr. Damschroder was a lifelong farmer and also was a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Elliston, OH. Mr. Damschroder married the former Mary M. Mutchler on June 13, 1947, and she preceded him in death on June 26, 2006. He is survived by his son, Fred Damschroder, Graytown. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herbert and Sanford Damschroder; sisters, Doris Ann Damschroder, Lucille Damschroder, Betty Irwin, Grayce Damschroder, and Bernice Damschroder. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Elmore.
