Geraldine A. Donohoe

Geraldine A. Donohoe, 90, of Port Clinton, Ohio, and formerly of Perrysburg, Ohio died Monday, November 07, 2011 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. She was born on September 29, 1921 in Leelanau, Michigan, the daughter of the late Napoleon and Thea (Nelson) Denoyer. On November 28, 1946 she married John F. Donohoe and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1986. She retired from the Wood County Library in Bowling Green after many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton; Knights of Columbus, Port Clinton, and also a lifelong member of the VFW. Her hobbies included reading and playing cards. Survivors include her daughters: Eileen M. (Gary) Willits, Stevensville, MI; Mary (Gary) Gardner, Port Clinton, OH; Carol Fields, Maumee, OH; son: John F. Donohoe, Jr., Lansing. MI; grandchildren: Sean (Nancy) Donohoe, Sarah (Matt) Sahr, Bill Willits, Earl Gardner, Tyler Gardner, Beatrice Fields; great grandchildren: John and Kayla Donohoe; sister: Elaine Schmidt, Florida; brother: Robert Denoyer, Detroit, MI; sisters-in-law: Judith Denoyer, Waterford, MI and Lois Donohoe, Rochester, NY; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister: Lorraine Elsey, and brother: Donald Denoyer. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio onTuesday, November 8, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Family prayers will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton, with Father Raymond Ensman officiating. Burial will take place on Thursday at Wood County Memory Gardens in Bowling Green, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to The Vineyard on Catawba or to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
