Gerald "Jerry" J. Marshall, 82, of Oak Harbor died Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Riverview Health Care Campus following a lengthy illness. He was born September 25, 1925 in Norfolk, NE to the late Floyd and Florence (Constantine) Marshall. On July 31, 1953 he married the former Marjorie Rippeon and she survives. Jerry served his country in the United States Army during WW II and the Korean War. He retired in 1988 from the Peter Eckrich Plant in Fremont, OH. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and a 35 year member of American Legion Post 114, both of Oak Harbor. Survivors include his wife Marjorie of Oak Harbor, sons: Robert L. Marshall of Columbus, OH, Richard L. Marshall of Richfield, OH, brother Louis R. Marshall of Deer Lodge, MT, and grandson Jered D. Marshall. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Cathy Lee Marshall. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8pm with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will begin at 11am, Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Funeral Home with the Rev. David A. Voll officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor where Military Honors will be given by American Legion Post 114, Oak Harbor.
