George F. Moser

George F. Moser, 73, of Lakeside died Sunday, July 10, 2011, in Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born July 1, 1938, in Marion, son of the late John W. and Florence M. (Dulton) Moser. He married Maureen Gose on June 1, 1963, and she survives. Mr. Moser was a math teacher for Whittier Junior High School in Lorain, where he organized a camera and video club. He was also the auditorium manager at Lakeside and he was responsible for the renovation of Orchestra Hall in Lakeside to its original Spanish Revival style. He was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Ohio Northern University where he was a Delta Sig. Mr. Moser enjoyed photography and was previously honored as the grand marshal of the Lakeside Fourth of July parade. Surviving are his wife, Maureen; daughters, Susan Lynn (John P. Jr.) Dougherty of Akron, Ohio, and Stephanie Sue (Mike) Thompson of Columbus; grandchildren, John Patrick Dougherty III, Rose Elizabeth Dougherty, Virginia Anne Dougherty, Branden George Dougherty; brother-in-law, Phillip Gose of Findlay; sister-in-law, Pat (Jay) Ladd of Findlay; and nieces: Elizabeth (Jon) Lied of Findlay and Abigail Ladd of Findlay. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 18, at Lakeside United Methodist Church where visitation will be from 10 a.m. services. Private interment services will be at Marion Cemetery.
