Genevieve Blakely

Genevieve "Jeni" Blakely, 70, of Oak Harbor died Monday, May 26, 2008 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon, OH. She was born November 19, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Royal "Jack" and Bessie (Williams) Holden. On March 19, 1955 she married Raymond Blakely and he survives. She had attended Davis Business College which helped her in her occupation where she Co-owned and managed Blakely enterprises for 27 years. She was a member of Oak Harbor United Methodist Church where she participated in United Methodist Women. She also was a past member of the Quilt Guild in Oak Harbor and was a past board member of the Ottawa County Easter Seals Society. Jeni was an excellent cook, and loved to travel and do Genealogy. Survivors include her husband Ray of Oak Harbor, sons: Mike (Sue) and Mark Blakely both of Oak Harbor, Bryan (Trish) Blakely of Omaha, Neb.; brothers: Wayne Holden of Batesville, Ark., and Norm Holden of Morningview, KY; sisters: Leona Dyer of Mission, TX., JoAnn Wyble of Oak Harbor, grandchildren: Jason, Julie, Ross, Brianna, Brittany, Devon, Jordan, and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Raymond K. "Keith" Blakely, brothers: Paul and Tom Holden, and sister Jean Smith. The family will receive friends from 2-9 P.M. Wednesday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Snyder officiating.
