Genevieve A. Ontko

Genevieve A. Ontko, 84, of Marblehead, Ohio, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at Providence Care Center Sandusky, Ohio. She was born October 28, 1923 in Marblehead, a daughter of Paul & Agnes (Biernot) Glovinsky. Genevieve was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Rosary Altar Society of the church. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Al Ontko whom she married on November 26, 1949; sons, Dennis (Charlene) Ontko and Roger Ontko, both of Marblehead; daughter, Carol (Larry) Bennice of Port Clinton; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul (MaryAnn) Glovinsky of Marblehead; and Leo (Nancy) Glovinsky of Sandusky. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John, Steve, James and Joseph Glovinsky, and a sister, Mary Hannes. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 P.M. Friday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, where prayer services will be at 4 P.M.. Additional visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. Saturday until a Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
