Gena Spencer

Gena Spencer, 66 passed away on March 28, 2024 along with her fiancé Patrick Winke. She was born on November 9, 1957, in Port Clinton. She had an incredible ability to always find love and happiness with her daily life, and her personality was always contagious!! The simplest pleasures in life brought Gena such joy, either with friends and family or with the love of her life, Pat Winke.

Sports were her pastime. She loved the Cleveland Browns, The Ohio State Buckeyes, boating and fishing, but most importantly, was the love she had for her dog, Gracie.

She was the daughter of Claude and Genevieve (Groves)Spencer. For years, she worked at Otto and Urban Flower Shop and always considered it a hobby as she loved flowers and gardening. She also worked at The Beacon newspaper and then finally the Clerk of courts at the PC Courthouse before retiring.

She is survived by her sister Sue Brown, nephew's: Matt (Ruth) Brown, Mike (Ken Pace) Brown, and niece Renee Brown York; great nephews: Nathan (kelley) Brown, Ryan (Ann)Brown, Jared (Brittany Wahl) York and Kiya (Ali) Attar and eight great-great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Gena’s Life will be held August 11, 2024 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Camp Perry Club House, 1000 N. Lawrence Rd. Building 600, Port Clinton, OH 43452.  No alcohol allowed to be brought into the hall.
