Gary Lee Harlow, 80 of Oak Harbor, OH died Saturday, June 19, 2021 at University Hospital, Cleveland, OH. He was born February 23, 1941 in York, Nebraska to the late Dewey Harlow and Bonnie Hutchins. He was a 1961 graduate of Port Clinton High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. On June 18, 1966 he married the former Carol Almendinger, and she survives. Gary worked for the Ohio Turnpike, Elmore Maintenance Building retiring in 1999. He then worked for the Village of Oak Harbor Street Department from 2002 – 2012. Gary also proudly served the Portage Fire Department from 1978 – 2003, and was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. Survivors include his wife of 55 years Carol of Oak Harbor; daughter Elizabeth Harlow of Oak Harbor; grandchildren: Amanda (Jacob) Stevens and Katie (Greg) Harlow-Davisson; great-grandchildren: Johnathon and Sofia Harlow, Ava & Olivia Stevens. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather Floyd Hutchins, stepbrother Lee Hutchins and grandson Alexander Wax. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8pm at the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Portage Fire Department or Mid-County E.M.S.
