Gary L. Meade

Gary L. Meade, 65, of Port Clinton died Monday, October 5, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born July 16, 1950 in Norton, VA, the son of the late Neley Edna (Harvey) Meade. He married Ruth Tilson and she survives. Gary worked as a maintenance technician for The Aylling & Reichert Co. in Oak Harbor. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Gary was a Husband, Father, and Best of friends. He enjoyed life to its fullest. He loved fishing, muscle cars and street rods, but most of all he loved his family! Surviving are his wife: Ruth; son: Steven J. L. (Candace) Meade of Port Clinton; daughter: Jamie D. (Nick) Gort of Oak Harbor, WA; grandchildren: Zoey Gort, Payton Meade, Christian Owen, Madison Owen; brother: Ronie Meade of Michigan; sisters: Evelyn (Wayne) Weber of Florida, Sherry Meade of Toledo. He was preceded in death by his brother: Joe Meade; sisters: Margaret "Judy" Parker and Beverly Carr. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton where visitation will be held Friday from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm. Interment will be in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. Rev. Alfred Havens will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH.
