Gary Allan Smolk

Gary A. Smolk, 76 of Port Clinton, OH died suddenly Monday, March 14, 2022 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton. He was born October 14, 1945 in Wheeling, W. VA to the late Edward C. and Ida Mae (Bellet) Smolk. On April 26, 2014 he married the former Judy (Manley) and she survives. Gary owned and operated Gary A. Smolk Company in Richfield, OH for 32 years, of which he retired in 2015. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, and the Port Clinton Elks. Survivors include his wife Judy; nephew Mark (Marta) Smolk; great-nephews: Jasen (Meghan) Smolk & family, Chris (Janell) Smolk & family; step-daughter Shannon (Chad) Just; and grandson Colin Just. He was also preceded in death by his 1st wife Gail (Toth) Smolk on March 26, 2013 and brothers: Edward and Donald Smolk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St, Marblehead, OH 43440 at 2pm on Friday, March 18, 2022 with the family to receive friends beginning at 1pm at Chruch. Services will also be live streamed via St. Joseph Catholic Church Facebook page. Burial will take place at a later date at All Saints Cemetery, Northfield Center, OH.
