Galen Wadsworth

Galen C. Wadsworth, 80, of Port Clinton, OH died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born Mar. 22, 1933 in Erie Township, the son of Vernon and Nina (Finken) Wadsworth. He married Margaret Gobmeier on June 19, 1950 and she preceded him in death on Oct. 5, 2005. Mr. Wadsworth was a Marine Contractor. Surviving are his sons: Calvin (Kay) Wadsworth of Oak Harbor, Jeff (Mary) Wadsworth of Port Clinton, Mark (Kim) Wadsworth of Port Clinton; daughter: Paula (Mike) Mares of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Stephanie, Laura, Trisha, Doug, Damion, Casey, Lacy, Katie, Michael, Derrick; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife: Margaret, son: Greg and 11 siblings. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Port Clinton, OH where visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm. Interment will be in Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township.
