Gail Lynn (Yeckley) Smith, 64, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Center in Lakeside, Ohio. She was born on November 20, 1949 in Port Clinton, the daughter of Russell and Agnes (Bailey) Yeckley. She was a homemaker and member of St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton. She enjoyed playing BINGO and making rugs by doing hooklatch. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her children: James Spears, Jennifer (Spears) (Mark) Buxton, August (Reed) (Jamie) Kleinhans, Deval (fiance', Nichole) Lucas, and Dustin (Katie) Lucas, all of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Amber, Dylan, & Alexis Spears; Brandi Spears; William, Ravin, & Devin Pinkleton; Jordan & Ebony Kleinhans; Jaden & Bryer Lucas; David & Skylar Lucas; numerous great-grandchildren; her mother: Agnes; sister: Janice (David) Latch, Frederick, Maryland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father: Russell and a sister: Scarlet Bennett. Per Gail's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 from noon until a celebration of Gail's life memorial service at 1pm at St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams Street, Port Clinton, with Pastor James Lehman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, to help pay for funeral expenses.
