Frieda H. Deal

Frieda H. Deal, 92, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born in Gypsum, Ohio on April 22, 1920, a daughter of Christian & Helena (Peterson) Christiansen. Frieda was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Salem Township, and enjoyed painting, crocheting, and sewing. She was employed by Benton-Carroll-Salem Schools, and was the first female school bus driving in the district. On October 25, 1939, she married Paul E. Deal, and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2001. Frieda is survived by her children, Judy (Ron) Perry, Oak Harbor, Kenneth (Gerry) Deal, Oak Harbor, and Terry Lee (Patty) Deal, Sagle, Idaho. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Jack Deal; and sister, Hilda Smith. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 9789 W. Oak Harbor SE Road, with the Rev. Cheryl Wessel officiating. Interment will be in Roose Cemetery, Salem Township. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the church. Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, is assisting Frieda's family with arrangements.
