Frieda E. Roll

Frieda E. Roll, 93, of Lakeside, Ohio and formerly of Cleveland and Euclid, died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. She was born on July 28, 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Albertina (Burgemeister) Trottner. She married Arthur M. Roll on June 18, 1938 and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2007. Frieda was a longtime member of St. Paul's East 55th Church in Cleveland and Shore Haven Lutheran Church in Euclid, and also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore, where she was active in the church's sewing club. She also loved cooking and baking. Surviving are her sons: Kenneth (Betty) Roll of Oberlin, Ohio and David (Susan) Roll of Mentor, Ohio; grandchildren: Laura (William) McGuinness, Kevin (Lesley) Roll and Robert (Devon) Roll; great-grandchildren: Megan and Bridget McGuinness. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; her parents and husband. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, from 10-11am until funeral services at 11 am with Reverend Stephen Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
