Fredrick A. “Poppy” Genzman, 50, of Oregon, OH, and formerly of Oak Harbor, died Sunday at his home. He was born in Port Clinton, OH on February 18, 1956, a son of Elroy & Imogene (Hanthorn) Genzman. A 1974 graduate of Oak Harbor High School, Fred enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Fred was a refinery operator at Sun Oil Company, Toledo, for nearly 27 years, and was a member of the United Oil & Chemical Workers, Local #7912. He is survived by his parents, Elroy and Imogene Genzman, of Oak Harbor; his former wife, Debbie (Winters) Genzman; son, Fred (Michelle) Genzman, Northwood, OH; daughter, Beth (Jamie) Lipper, Oregon, OH; brother, Richard (Karen) Genzman, Marysville, OH; sister, Debbie (Steve) Railsack, Terre Haute, IN; grandchildren, Ciera Lipper, Brittany Lipper, Nicholas Genzman, Emily Lipper, and Jamie Lipper. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Thursday and 2-8 P.M. Friday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday. The Rev. Keith Hunsinger of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, will officiate, and interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
