Franklin L. Merrill, 79, of Marblehead, OH died January 25, 2006 at The Cleveland Clinic. He was born April 23, 1926 in Marblehead, OH the son of the late Frances Corwin and Anna Barbara Merrill. He married Barbara Turinsky on April 14, 1951 and she survives. Mr. Merrill was the superintendent of the Marblehead Water Treatment Plant retiring in 1988. He previously worked for Focht Brothers installing the water lines in Marblehead and at Standard Products. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving in World War II. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was active as a Eucharistic minister and a lector. Surviving are his wife: Barbara; sisters: Anna Barbara Smith and Beatrice Buckley both of Toledo, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Kathryn Redig and Donelda Tucker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father James Brown at 11:00 am Monday, Jan. 30, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 – 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside—Marblehead, OH where the Rosary will be recited at 5:00 pm Sunday. There will be no visitation on Monday prior to the Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Marblehead, OH. Memorial contributions maybe made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
