Franklin D. Wylie, Sr.

Franklin D. Wylie, 64, of Port Clinton, died Tuesday November 28, 2006 at H.B. Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. He was born September 27, 1942 in Frankfort, Ky, the son of Ernest B. and Anna L. Wylie. Franklin retired from the US Gypsum Company and Securitas Security Services. He was a retired volunteer fireman for the Catawba Island Fire Department. He was a former bowler and loved to read and do crafts. Surviving are his wife June (Lentz) Wylie whom he married on March 3, 1973; his daughters Melissa of Oregon, OH and Susan of Port Clinton; son Frank (Stacie), Jr. of Newport, KY; grandchildren Ricky Bienvenu, Addison and Alexander Wylie; his mother Anna L. Wylie of Port Clinton; sisters Yvonda Wylie of Port Clinton and Kathy (Bob) Capacasa of Las Vegas, NV; brothers Ernie L. (Kathy) Wylie, Richard (Dianne) Wylie and Steve (Garnetta) Wylie all of Port Clinton and Roger (Deborah) Wylie of Castalia. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest B. Wylie. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Catawba Island Cemetery with the Rev. John Rofkar officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Catawba Island Fire Dept. or the donor’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Neidecker, LeVeck, & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton.
