Franklin A. Mahler

Franklin A Mahler, 82, of Marblehead, OH passed away September 30, 2022 at his home. He was born November 20, 1939 in Rossford, OH the son of Joseph B. and Gladys (Scott) Mahler, Sr. Franklin was a machine repairman for U. S. Gypsum and then later for Delphi retiring in 2004. He was a member of Local 913, Sandusky and St. Paul Lutheran Church, Danbury. He came from a large family and he was a loving man who cherished all of his family. He enjoyed bowling, a huge Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan, avid Cleveland and Ohio State Fan and a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Surviving are his children: Thomas (Michele) Mahler of Franklin, KY, Beth Mahler of Marblehead, Scott (Amanda) Mahler of Clyde; grandchildren: Brandy (Jeremy) Young, Brittany (Trevor) Drish, Danielle (Richard) McLaughlin, Allen (Ashley) Miller, Noah Mahler, Derek Mahler; great-grandchildren: Thomas Young, Ella Young, Levi Drish, Richard McLaughlin, Jase Miller, Joseph Miller, Jaxon Miller; siblings: Patricia (Gilbert) Wadsworth of Marblehead, Evelyn Bodi of Marblehead, Wally (Linda) Mahler of Marblehead, James (Rita) Mahler of Marblehead; brother-in-law: James McGee of Port Clinton; sister-in-law: Lucy Mahler of Marblehead and his dogs: Max and Nena. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Christopher (Dolores) Mahler, Jack (Gloria) Mahler, Joseph (Darlene) Mahler, Jr., Barbara McGee, Carol (William) Covey, Gerald Mahler, Ellen Mahler.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH where visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
