Frank Robert Thomas

Frank Robert Thomas, 87, of Marblehead, Ohio died Monday, November 9, 2009 at Windsor Woods Rehabilitation Center in Hudson, Florida. He was born on January 11, 1922 in Shelbina, Missouri, the son of the late Floyd and Eva (Boyd) Thomas. Frank was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force, having served his country during World War II. He worked as a salesman for Trane Heating and Air Conditioning out of Toledo for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Sylvania Shriners for over 50 years as well as the American Legion for over 25 years. His hobbies included fishing and golfing. Survivors include his wife: Theresa (Jaegle) whom he married on October 26, 1950; daughters: Sandy (Dennis) Weaver, Grand Rapids, Ohio and Cheryl (Steve) Dress, Marblehead, Ohio; son: Terry (Barb) Thomas, Sylvania, Ohio; grandchildren: Derek Dress, Emily Thomas, Sam Thomas, Adam Thomas; sister: Doris Myers, Atlanta, Georgia; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter; sister: Harriet Robinson and brother: Dick Thomas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 9 to 11 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM with Reverend Janine Dress officiating. Burial will follow in Sackett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Ottawa County or to the Toledo Shriner's Burn Center.
