Francis G. "Wink" Winke

Francis G. “Wink” Winke, 89, of Port Clinton, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born November 17, 1932 in Toledo, OH the son of Stephen J. and Mary T. (Hermes) Winke. Wink was a dairy and grain farmer and also a truck driver for Port Clinton Fisheries. He previously was a carpenter helping to build Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. He enjoyed golfing, watching horse shows in which his granddaughters and great-granddaughter participated, the annual S.C.R.A.P. antique tractor weekend, helping out on the farm, the making of hay and straw, and deer hunting. Surviving are his children: Jeffrey(Amy) Winke of Sylvania, Todd (Diane) Winke of Oak Harbor, Rodney Winke of Port Clinton, Bradley (Kimberley McRitchie) Winke of Port Clinton, Kim (Jason) Deal of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Alissa, Joshua, Erica, Joseph, Kayce, Andrea, Rachel, Molly, Logan, Donald, Brandon, Cortnie, Katelyn; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings: Richard (Jean) Winke of Port Clinton, Laverne (Michael) Ferdon of Port Clinton, Carolyn Kranz of Florida, Larry Winke of Indiana and his beloved dog: Shadow. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson: Dakota; siblings: John, Robert, Gerald, Madonna Ashton, Rosella Thompson, Rita Greer and Mary Ellen Raypole. The family would like to thank Anne and Cynthia and also the Riverview Crew for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held Monday, December 27, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH with a parish wake service in the funeral home at 7:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be conducted 10:00 am Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 215 N. Church St. Oak Harbor, OH 43449 with visitation in the church starting at 9:00 am. Interment will follow in Salem Township Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH.
