Frances R. Draeger

Frances R. Draeger, 96, of Lindsey, OH, died Friday, November 18, 2016 at Valley View Healthcare Center, Fremont, OH. She was born near Elmore, OH on July 30, 1920, a daughter of the late Carl & Mabel (Ernsthausen) Giesler. Frances was a graduate of the former Harris-Elmore High School, where she was Valedictorian of her class. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore. On April 11, 1943, Frances married Harold "Barney" Draeger, and together they operated the family farm north of Lindsey until they retired. Barney preceded her in death on July 13, 2009. Frances is survived by her sons, Dr. Steven (Peggy) Draeger, Columbus, OH, and Dr. John (Carol) Draeger, Milan, OH; grandchildren, Nathaniel Draeger, Taos, NM, Seth Draeger, Columbus, and Dr. Marc Draeger, Fresno, CA; great-grandson, Kendall Draeger; and her sister, Kathryn Price, Oak Harbor, OH. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Draeger; brothers, Gilbert & Harold Giesler, and sisters, Marion Puse and Eileen Miller. Private graveside services will be held at Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore.
