Frances Louise Misejko, 97, peacefully left her earthly home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. Born in Cleveland, she spent a large part of her life in Bedford, Ohio where she was active in the Bedford Garden Club. Her favorite activities were long walks, nature and discovering wild edible weeds which she often prepared, sometimes to the dismay of her family. Dandelions were her best-loved weed and they often found their way into salads as well as wine. Frances moved to Johnson’s Island to be closer to her daughter where she spent twenty years in her home overlooking a wooded backyard. Daughter Dianne received daily updates on what came out of and went into those woods. Frances was an excellent baker and known for her homemade bread and donuts. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, caring for her cats and many adventures with her small family especially fish fries in the summertime. She was a skilled seamstress and often spoke of the joy she received from making all of her daughter’s clothes when she was growing up. Her final years were spent in the care of the kind and gracious staff at the Commons of Providence with assistance from Stein Hospice. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Rozak, and her cat Banjo.
