Frances K. Milbrodt, 89, of Woodville, Ohio, and formerly of Graytown, Ohio, died Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born in Graytown on December 4, 1921, the daughter of Charles & Clara (Schutte) Sommer. Frances worked for Columbia Gas, and during World War II, she worked for the former Erie Army Depot. On January 7, 1943, she married Willis H. Milbrodt in El Paso, Texas, and he preceded her in death on February 8, 1994. Active in church activities, Frances was a former member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Elliston, Ohio, and was currently a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore, Ohio. She also volunteered at Mercy St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. Frances had a strong faith, and her family was very important to her. She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Jane) Milbrodt, Bowling Green, Ohio, James (Elaine) Milbrodt, Elmore, Ohio, and Philip (Audrey) Milbrodt, Genoa, Ohio; grandchildren, Teresa (Tristan Palmgren) Milbrodt, Katrina Milbrodt, Christopher Milbrodt, Amy (Ryan) Risch, Heather (Kiel) Whitcum, Matthew Milbrodt, Sarah Milbrodt , and Jonathan Milbrodt; great-grandchildren, Chloe Milbrodt, Kaden Risch, and Karson Risch, and a step great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Risch. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Willis. Friends are invited to call from 2-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 West State Route 51. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore, where friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday. Rev. Stephen Lutz will officiate, and interment will be in Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Preschool, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or to a charity of the donor's choice. Frances' family would like to extend their thanks to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their care and kindness, and a special thanks to their mother's caregiver, Carol Jividen.
