Frances Jean Krieger

Frances Jean Krieger, 77 of Oak Harbor, OH died Friday, September 4, 2020 at her home under hospice care. She was born August 6, 1943 in Ottawa County, OH to the late Murl B. Chio and Anna (Brown) Chio Cunningham. She was a 1961 graduate of Salem- Oak Harbor High School. On April 27, 1968 she married Randall K. Krieger who preceded her in death December 14, 2019. She was a hairdresser for many years and loved cooking for the community through Chef’s Best Catering and the former Bassett’s IGA (now Community Markets) in Oak Harbor. Fran was also a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor. She enjoyed playing cards and being a grandma. She loved wearing her “bling” to the casinos and listening to Elvis. Survivors include her sons: Bart (Ann) Krieger of Pickerington, OH and Brett (Terri-Jo) Krieger of Templeton, MA; grandchildren: Amber, Kevin, and Jesse Krieger; sister Joanne Lohr of Woodville, OH and sister- in- law Janice Cunningham. She was also preceded in death by her sister Margaret “Marge” Apling; brothers William “Bill” Chio and Robert “Bob” Cunningham. Visitation will be Friday from 5 -7:30pm at the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel where a Parish Wake Service will begin at 7:30 following visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor with Rev. Timothy F. Ferris, Celebrant.
