Frances F. Weng

Frances F. "Fran" Weng, 70, of Elmore, Ohio, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, Ohio. She was born in Sandusky County on November 26, 1941, a daughter of Harold & Florence (Deitemyer) Damschroder. Fran worked for Johnnie's Electric in Elmore for over 28 years and for AFLAC for 4 years, retiring in 2004. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore, where she was active in the Bible study group. She also sang in the church choir and was a former Sunday School teacher. A lover of music and singing, Fran was a member of the Voracious Voices choir in Gibsonburg. She also enjoyed flower gardening and reading. Fran was also a precinct judge for the Ottawa County Board of Elections for several years. She dearly loved her family and was grateful for all their support. They include her loving husband of 51 years, Delbert, who she married on February 11, 1961; her mother, Florence Damschroder Wagner; children, Dan (Julie), Lisa (Kelly), and Patty (Cliff); grandchildren, Nathan, Traci, Ben, Alex, Rachel, Kelsey, and Halle Frances; and sisters, Linda Millhime, and Norma Elmer. She was preceded in death by her father, and her brother, Gary Damschroder. The family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 West State Route 51. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 412 Fremont St., Elmore, with the Rev. Stephen H. Lutz officiating. Interment will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
