Forster L. Fleenor

Forster Lee Fleenor, 77, of Marblehead, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton, Ohio surrounded by family. Forster was born on July 11, 1942 in Keokee, Virginia, the son of Ulysses Forester and Emma Lee (Necessary) Fleenor. At a young age, his family moved to Marblehead, where he was raised and later met his wife, Sandra Sue Barnette. They were married on November 26, 1966 in Port Clinton, Ohio. Forster enjoyed all things racing, he was a devoted NASCAR fan and loved to drag race his 1967 Pontiac Firebird with Camaro front clip. He enjoyed working as a mechanic and was well known for fixing cars at his home garage. He was employed at the former Standard Products where he later retired. He was well known for drag racing, and for his kindness, honesty, and unique sense of humor. Forster is survived by his three children, Loretta (Robert), Glendale (Kathleen) and Michael (Elizabeth); brother RJ (Sue) Fleenor; five grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Paige, Shay and Jared "Dee", three great-grandchildren, Shyia, Zander and Cora, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Sue of 53 years, brothers Tom Holmes, Stanley Holmes, Jennings Fleenor, and sisters Nadine (Holmes) McMurray, Mary Fleenor and nephew whom he loved like a brother, Gary Holmes Sr. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio from 12:00 pm until funeral services at 2:00 pm with Chaplin David Clark officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home.
