Floyd E. Drake

Floyd Drake, 80, of Port Clinton and formerly of Marion, OH died November 7, 2007 at St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, OH. He was born August 19, 1927 in Marion, OH the son of the late Carl H. and Cleo E. (Smith) Drake. He married Catherine M. Browning on June 3, 1949 and she survives. Mr. Drake worked for Erie Railroad and later Lackawanna Railroad as a mechanic. He collected train sets and was a devoted Christian and loving husband and father. Surviving are his wife: Catherine; daughters; Cheryl C. (Gary) Kaple of Port Clinton, Debra Hayes of Port Clinton, Robin S. (Robin) Howard of Ft Worth, TX; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers: Carl H. Drake, Jr. of Marion and Donald V. Drake of Meadeville, PA. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Clifford and Gene; sisters: Virginia and Lois and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 9, 2007 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
