Fern Baumgartner

Fern D. Baumgartner, 95, of Port Clinton died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center. She was born Feb. 5, 1917 in Carroll Township, the daughter of Edgar and Louise (Floriana) Cover. She married Virgil F. Baumgartner and he preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1982. Mrs. Baumgartner was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Oak Harbor; Eagles Auxiliary #2295, Port Clinton and the Women of the Moose Chapter 281, Port Clinton. Surviving are her daughter: Connie Trimble of Port Clinton; sister-in-law: May Odom of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her husband, brother: John A. "Bub" Cover; sisters: Bessie Dubbert and Beryl Andrews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton where visitation will be held Monday from 2:00 4:00 pm. Burial will be in Rusha Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul United Church of Christ, Edgewood Manor Activities Fund or Stein Hospice.
