Faye L. Williams

Faye L. Williams, 92, of Coos Bay, Oregon, and formerly of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 in Oregon. She was born in Oak Harbor on January 8, 1918, a daughter of the late Peter & Addie (Chestnutwood) Provonsha. A graduate of the former Salem-Oak Harbor High School, Faye was an employee of the former Erie Army Depot in Erie Township, the J. Weller Company, Oak Harbor, and Kirkby Machinery, Toledo. She was an accomplished pianist and used her skills at the Community of Christ Church, Carroll Township, where she was an active member. Faye also was a pianist for services at Riverview Healthcare Campus and several of the apartment complexes in which she lived. In 1971, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona and in 2001 to Gold Beach, Oregon. Faye was the widow of Leonard J. Williams who preceded her in death in 1968. She is survived by a son, Larry Williams of Australia; daughter, Jane Yesser, Coos Bay, Oregon; brothers, Paul Provonsha, Oak Harbor, and James Provonsha, Fremont, Ohio; grandchildren, Jared Mecialis, Phoenix, Arizona, and Mandy Pearson, Gold Beach, Oregon. Faye is also survived by 3 great-grandsons, one great granddaughter, and nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, with Eleanor St. Clair officiating. Interment will be in Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township.
