F.W. Hornbeck Sr., age 96, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday: April 16, 2017 at the Otterbein North Shore Community at Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio. Born 2/21/21 in Mt Victory, Ohio, Graduated from Crestline High School in Crestline Oh in 1940. He lived most of his lifetime in Grafton, Ohio spending winters in Naples, Fla. and summers in Marblehead, Ohio. He was superseded in death by his first love and wife of 43 years Virginia. L Hornbeck (Jan 29, 1985). He is survived by his second love, Betty I Hornbeck of 26 years also of Otterbein North Shore as well as his daughters: Mrs. Duane (Lilian) Wacker of Blain, Mn., Mrs. Tim Gallagher (Patricia) of Elyria, Oh., and his son Forrest W Hornbeck Jr (Skip) of Naperville, Il. He has 7 grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren. He was a member of the Grafton United Methodist Church and the Masonic Grand Lodge of Ohio: No 399 F.and A.M. He progressed through chairs at the LaGrange, Ohio Chapter and was recognized as the longest living/dues paying member on April 2 2015 (65 year award). His primary employment was with Elyria Saving and Trust Company, from which he retired on 4/30/1976. He was then engaged in farming and enjoyed spending time on Lake Erie fishing as a charter captain. He was an avid Cavaliers Fan. He enjoyed prime rib, shrimp cocktail and a salted margarita from time to time. Interment will be 5/6/2017 at 11:00 a.m at the Nesbett Cemetery, Grafton Road, Grafton Township, Ohio.
